Friday 55 Flash: Lost

Blue Demon Jr

You don't go crazy
You go to sleep
When you open your eyes
When you get up and dress
The nightmare doesn't stay under your pillow
It gets up with you and follows you around

 You're stuck somewhere
Between awake and asleep
Where you can't run from the demons
Where you can't scream them away

  6. The sense of menace is almost as strong as the sense of loss of control--and the illustration is quite an archetype--it could be something from an Aztec wall carving of murder and sacrifice as easily as a modern face. Chilling--my favorite thing.

  9. So tough to live in a nightmare, but I guess we all have. You capture this well.

  10. I've had those type of nightmares, the ones where you wake up but yet you don't really know if you are awake or not because the dream is still with you and so real... Yikes.

  11. Between awake and asleep can be an awful place or a wonderful one, depending on the dream/nightmare!
